Melissa Lang has over 20 years of experience working with children with disabilities and their families. She has worked as a Special Education Teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools, a Transition Specialist in Roanoke City Public Schools and, most recently, as an Education Coordinator for a private day school for elementary students with disabilities. Melissa specializes in the evaluation of Autism Spectrum Disorder in toddlers, children and adolescents using assessments such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - 2 (ADOS-2). She takes an individualized approach to each evaluation, taking time to learn about the child's strengths and needs. She believes that comprehensive assessments are the first step in developing result-oriented interventions.
